Acid was founded in 2001 with the aim of providing an honest, reliable and high quality service to businesses requiring bespoke website and software development.
The timeline below details some of the many changes that have happened at Acid since 2001:
September 2001
Acid Designs is founded, offering bespoke website development services
July 2003
Company name is changed to Acid Computer Services to reflect the range of services now being offered
August 2003
Move from Burnley to Manchester city centre
December 2005
Acid have gained numerous high profile clients, including The University of Manchester and The NHS
September 2006
Acid celebrate their 5th birthday!
December 2007
Acid's list of clients has increased even further to include many small businesses, as well as larger organisations such as Keele University and Passion For Perfume
March 2008
Acid becomes a private limited company, Acid Computer Services Ltd (registered number 06530196)
June 2008
Acid join Manchester Digital, the independent trade association for Manchester's thriving digital sector
September 2008
RMS PR are appointed to manage Acid's PR and marketing activities
October 2008
To allow for continuing expansion, Acid move into a new office suite on Silk Street in Manchester city centre
November 2008
Acid becomes a member of the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce
December 2008
New website and corporate identity launched (we hope you like it!)
